I live near Bishops Stortford in Essex with my partner, Marc, and our rescue greyhounds Charlie and Sophie. I am actively involved in Greyhound Rescue, as well as helping with other breeds. I also have had horses for most of my life, though now I only help look after some horses (however they are Olympic Eventers!)

I am originally from the north, having grown up in Wigan where I first started to experiment with painting and drawing. Since then I have worked in watercolours, gouache and pencil drawings before settling on waxed pencils. My interest in animals has led me to specialise in this theme of animal portraits and pictures. My pet portraits have given me great pleasure, as I slowly see them appear from the paper whilst drawing. I also love wildlife portraits, as they offer such variety and challenges.

I also indulge my interest in animals through my other activities of being a dog walker and trainer, as well as having written a recipe book for dog treats and being an active dog treat baker.
